Most of my blogs are going to start out with a disease I have in my right knee, I have synovial chondromatosis, which is really rare. I have had surgery for it on Monday December 17th, 2012 and on Monday March 10th, 2014. I will blog about the surgery, the recovery, and anything else that comes to mind!!

Doctor Check-up tomorrow

Well tomorrow morning, I will be traveling to Pittsburgh for a check-up and all that. I just wanted to post some pictures of my knee before I go back to the doctors.

Today I am able to walk around without crutches, and am starting to be able to walk down steps without having to slide on my butt.

I think I have roughly 25 stitches in the back of my leg.

That's about it for today, will update over the weekend after I visit the doctor.

Dates involving with Synovial Chondromatosis:

July 2012 - Hurt knee mountain biking and then it swelled up.
11/19/12 - MRI's (One with contrast, one without contrast)
11/30/12 - Met surgeon, told me I either have
PVNS or Synovial Chondromatosis or a mixture of both.
12/10/12 - Pre-surgery testing, physical, EKG, blood work, chest X-ray.
12/17/12 - Synovectomy (Open surgery) on front and back of right knee.
12/19/12 - Home from the hospital
1/04/13 - First check-up with doctor
1/28/13 - 6 Week Check=up
3/8/13 - 12 Week Check-Up
Roughly 12/1/13 - Hyperextended Knee and then it swelled back up and is Synovial Chondromatosis again
3/7/14 - Pre-surgery testing
3/10/14 - Surgery on back of leg only to remove Synovial Chondromatosis
9/22/14 - Third surgery on back and front of leg to remove Synovial Chondromatosis
1/14/15 - It has been cleared that the surgery was successful and the disease is gone
